Situated on the North Side of Brisbane, Queensland, Radmyagh is a small hobby cattery dedicated to breeding healthy and happy exotics and persians and registered with Feline Control Council of Queensland Inc. Being totally free of PKD, my cats live in a normal loving home environment. I am concentrating on Ticked,Tabbies and Solids.
Officially I started breeding under the Radmyagh prefix alomost three years ago.
I had retired from breeding approximately 15 years previous, that was until Anne Lees quietly mentioned she knew where there was a Cameo male looking for a good home. A cameo, still one of the loves of my life - Cameos and Silvers - that's what I used to breed. Did I really want start again. Did I? One look at a photo of this boy convinced me otherwise.
Yes, of course I wanted him [who wouldn't] and, yes, I had to go through all the checks and measures before I could have him as he was special, he was Gloria Beath's and he could only go to an approved home - choose me, I said.
I had a beautiful boy and no where to go with him. I hunted high and low, but no one knew of me of course and there was nothing available. My good friend Anne generously gave me Myriddan Lady B Good as I had a boy but no girl. Thankyou Anne.
My first litter was due and I hoped it would include cameos, creams, blues or blue-creams. "What's this " I said when I showed Anne a rather dark, not cameo looking kitten.
This not what I am supposed to get out of this mating. It should have been a cameo or a solid - my first tabby [ Jorja] had arrived. Once you breed a tabby, you can't get them out of your system.
Now, with Jorja reaching GDGC and retired I am now showing her progeny. I have bred some rather nice kittens with excellent temperment to add to my growing family.
